About Graphic Vision Design & Photography

Based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Graphic Vision Studio is an exciting non-traditional photography shop run by photographer artist and graphic designer Elsy Aumann. She specializes in relationship portraits: children and families as well as pregnancy, newborn and baby photography.

Elsy's passion and love for photography was born in her early youth while being in High School, but growing up in a family with limited resources, was almost impossible for her to ever get a camera. It was not until 1998, when while working on a Graphic Design Campaign with the renown Venezuelan photographer and fashion designer Nicolas Felizola that she was able to get the inspiration and motivation to one day expand her services to capture the memories and daily life of the people she knew.

It is this passion that drives her to continuously search for new creative ways to photograph her favorite subjects and the very essence that goes into every one of her photographs. She stays at the forefront of her craft by frequently attending photography workshops and applying new techniques to keep her photography fresh and personal.

Elsy believes that a good portrait is more than a picture. It is a family heirloom to be cherished for generations. Her goal is to not just create a memory of what you look like, but create a memory of what you are like...in energy, personality, and style. Her artistic eye and personal approach will delight you and make you feel right at home.

Elsy was never been interested in studio photography or images of people in unnatural environments even though she is prepared to provide you with your studio photos. She prefers shooting in the outdoors where images look more photo-journalistic  When she visualizes an individual or a group of people, she won't see them in front of a white or black backdrop or lit in a manner to suit the camera.  It's in the living room, the bedroom, the street, or another real space. Most of her photography is about watching people as they bring their personality into a familiar place and see how they interact with it and her watching.
